Prep And Aftercare

  • Dress the part – comfort is key.
Arrive in loose-fitting clothing like soft t-shirt dresses and flip-flops to keep your fresh tan flawless. Skip the bras, denim, and leggings – anything that clings is a no-go for your undercover glow.

Exfoliate like a pro (at least 4 hours before).
Smooth, clean skin is your best asset. Gently exfoliate or shave several hours before your appointment using oil-free products. This allows your pores time to close – and keeps your glow even and envy-worthy.

    Shower, then chill (literally).
Shower a few hours before your session – not right before. Finish with a cold rinse to help tighten pores and prep your skin for a streak-free tan. Damp skin is the enemy of a flawless finish.

Skip the lotions, potions & perfume.
Your mission: arrive with clean, bare skin. That means no moisturizer, makeup, deodorant, or perfume. These can block the formula from bonding – and we want every drop to work its magic.

Handle beauty business ahead of time.
Waxing, facials, nails, massages – get all your beauty treatments before your spray tan. Doing them after can fade or smudge your secret-agent-level glow.

Time it right for the spotlight.
For that perfect sun-kissed look, schedule your spray tan 2–3 days before any big event. This gives your color time to develop into a golden, camera-ready finish.

    • Choose dark, loose, flowy garments to slip into after your tan—think oversized tees, sundresses, or wide-leg lounge pants.

    • Avoid tight fabrics like jeans, leggings, underwire bras, or snug underwear, as they can cause friction and uneven development.

    • We recommend bringing flip flops or slides to keep your feet streak-free and your tan flawless from head to toe.

  • When it’s time to rinse, keep it short and sweet — about 1 to 2 minutes. Use lukewarm water only, and skip all soaps, shampoos, and conditioners during this initial rinse.

You’ll see the temporary bronzer washing off — that’s normal. Once the water runs clear, step out, pat your skin dry (don’t rub), and apply a spray tan-safe moisturizer to lock in hydration.

    For Rapid Tans

Rapid tans develop a little differently — trust the journey. Your color will look extra deep at first, then surprisingly light after rinsing. But don’t worry — full development happens gradually over the next 12 to 24 hours. The final result? Just right.

  • Wait the full development time before showering.
Follow the recommended wait time based on your solution. This allows the tan to fully develop.

    First shower: rinse only.
Skip soap during your first shower. Rinse your whole body and face until the water runs clear. If you notice any spray tan smell, use a pH-balancing cleanser (like Summer's Eve) to remove it.

Sleeping in your tan? Dress smart.
If your session was in the evening, wear loose, long sleeves and pants to bed to avoid transfer to sheets.

Do not apply products during development.
Avoid makeup, perfume, creams, or deodorant while your tan develops.

    Avoid certain ingredients.
Do not use products containing alcohol, parabens, mineral or petroleum oils, or sulfates. Never apply perfume directly to sprayed areas.

    Delay waxing and shave delicately.
Do not wax or use pimple patches over sprayed areas. Light shaving may be done occasionally with care.

    Daily moisturizing is a must.
Apply an oil-free lotion morning and night. Do not exfoliate while your tan is active. When you want to remove your tan, gently exfoliate using a Korean exfoliating mitt to remove residue.

Limit exposure to sweat, water, and heat.
Avoid excessive sweating, saunas, long baths, hot tubs, and pools. These will accelerate fading.
